The health benefits of this super fruit are seemingly endless. Acai (pronounced ah-sigh-ee) is a berry indigenous to Central and South America.
- Antioxidants? Acai is loaded with them incredible for fighting cardiovascular disease and cancer. This super fruit is rich in omega fatty acids and subsequently excellent for improved management of bad cholesterol. They also help with digestion and increases the strength of immune system function.
- Acai berries have been known to slow down the aging process by reducing cellular oxidative damage caused by UV rays, chemicals, and other pollutants.
- Acai has brain-boosting effects fueled by antioxidant compounds that promote enhanced memory and concentration. The valuable nutrients also get rid of toxins that cause lethargy so they are an optimal energy source. This super fruit is delicious on its own but can be combined with many other super foods as a bowl, cup, or other dish.
