Take a Healthy and Productive Risk Today. Intentionally make yourself vulnerable. Here are just a few possible healthy options:
- Tell someone you love them, especially if it is hard for you.
- Try a new activity, especially if it is one you have been thinking about doing but afraid to try. (I am not great with heights and plan on intentionally making myself vulnerable and trying the trapeze in Manhattan this Spring).
- Sign up for a public speaking event. Speak, Sing, Dance at a party, gathering, or other public venue (public speaking and singing in front of people always ranks high on the top of the fear list).
“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.”
