Don’t be eye candy, be soul food.

Beauty comes from within, so they say, but many people show otherwise. Just like a handsome face and muscular physique are nice, but a compassionate soul is truly attractive, at least in my opinion.

Inner beauty is lovely, and understanding someone in a way other than judgment of their outer layers is something many tend to fall short in adherence to. Now, when you think of what is attractive to you, do you think of a pretty face or handsome features, slim figure or bulging biceps? Or instead, do you ponder on personality, humor, sensitivity, creativity, passion, manners and respect? You see, everyone has a different perspective of what is attractive and whom they are attracted to.

So if we put aside looks and dip deeper into having a conversation with someone, opening our perspective to what should matter behind good looking hair and soft eyes, we may just see their soul. Looking into someone’s soul, getting a better feel of what kind of person he or she is can help heal any pain you may have, as well.

All in all, when it comes to fitness and health, hitting the gym everyday to better yourself is great, but doing it for others’ attention won’t get you what you deserve. Pay attention to how to perceive yourself and that alone will serve you justice. Feeding your soul with others who are of good company and aid in your growth are the ones to pursue giving your attention to. Put aside the ego and learn a bit about whats under the surface of people in your day-to-day life.
