Can Full Fathom Relax Help Your Anxiety Symptoms?

As a practicing clinical psychiatrist, I get the opportunity to treat many folks for a variety of different conditions. The most common by far is anxiety. There are several classes of medications that are used to treat anxiety; most commonly the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIS), Serotonin Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIS), and Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Ativan, Valium, Klonopin, etc.…)

The biggest challenge and complaint for many who take them are the potential negative side effects. There are also many people who have anxiety symptoms who won’t even start them due to their legitimate concerns about side effects. The potential side effects can include weight gain, sexual side effects, apathy, problems focusing, fatigue, restlessness and potential addiction potential with the Benzodiazepines.

Due to this repeated refrain for so many of my patients I started introducing the use of supplements to help address my patients anxiety symptoms. As a result, Full Fathom Relax was developed. Full Fathom Relax is a doctor formulated natural daily nutritional supplement to promote optimal relaxation. For more information see CLICK HERE.

I want to illustrate the use of Full Fathom Relax with three of my patients who have been taking the supplement:

  1. 45 years old mother of 3 who had a long history of anxiety and panic symptoms. I had started her on Sertraline (a commonly used SSRI for anxiety.) She had an initial benefit, but every few weeks, she needed to increase the dose. We made a decision to introduce Full Fathom Relax 1 capsule twice daily. She has now been on the supplement for more than 9 months with no longer having any breakthrough symptoms of anxiety or panic and no reported side effects of any kind from the supplement. This scenario is an example of using Full Fathom Relax as an add-on or an augmenting agent to traditional treatment.
  2. 44 years old mother of 3 young children who began experiencing symptoms of anxiety 6 months ago. She was waking up feeling nervous for no reason, disrupted sleep, feeling of dread and feeling on edge all the time. Due to concerns about potential negative side effects of traditional medication treatment, she started taking Full Fathom Relax 2 capsules twice daily (the recommended dose on the bottle is one capsule twice daily, but we have seen a greater improvement in symptoms with many people with no reported side effects with the higher dose of 2 capsules twice daily.) Within 6 weeks of starting the supplement, this mother felt that she was no longer experiencing any symptoms of anxiety. She reported no negative side effects. This is an example of a patient using it as a stand-alone to address her anxiety symptoms.
  3. 54 years old mother of 2 teenagers who had struggled with anxiety symptoms on and off for most of her adult life. Several years ago, she started taking one of the SSRIS with seeming good benefit in addressing her symptoms, but like many adults she was having frustrating side effects in the form of weight gain, decreased sexual libido and general apathy. When she came to me for an evaluation, she made a decision to start Full Fathom Relax 2 capsules twice a day instead of taking an SSRI again. I have seen her several times over the last 6 months to assess her progress. Her anxiety symptoms have diminished significantly with no reported negative side effects from the supplement. This scenario illustrates someone choosing to take a supplement instead of an SSRI.

Obviously these cases are just examples of my own patients who I monitor on a regular basis and are not intended to make any medical decision for your individual case. The goal of this article is to highlight the role a supplement such as Full Fathom Relax can have in alleviating anxiety symptoms. It is always prudent and important to discuss any treatment decisions with your health care provider. I also believe that regardless of what you choose to take to address your anxiety symptoms, you should always have regular monitoring with a mental health provider.
